Sunshine is a well-known Navajo silversmith who applies incredible detailed stamp work on his jewelry and an amazing variety of other silver pieces. He was born in New Mexico in 1966. The nickname, “Sunshine” was given by family members when he was young, because of his light colored hair. He currently lives with his wife and children in the Gallup area.
Two older brothers are credited with teaching Sunshine silver smithing skills. In the early 90’s, both Gary Reeves and the late David Reeves, taught their brother how to work with silver. He has taken those lessons into a career filled with deserved recognition and high honors for his creativity and skill.
