Allison Lee
Allison is an award-winning Navajo silversmith born in Mexican Springs, New Mexico. He grew up in a family with seven siblings. His mother, Rena Lee, made silver jewelry in the 1970’s. At age 14, Allison started helping his mother and his uncle Emerson Etsitty, Sr., solder beads.
He improved his skills while attending Tohatchi High School, where silversmithing classes were available. During the summers, he worked for traders in Gallup, New Mexico. In addition to earning money to help his family, he learned from other silversmiths how to refine his jewelry making skills.
